Candidates are required to have in depth knowledge of Track, good geographical knowledge of the area, excellent communication skills, strong problem solving skills and be IT literate.
The following competencies are also essential:
• PTS/Track Induction including Manual Handling, Fire Training and First Aid; good literacy and numeracy, MSP & Track Geometry, LOOKOUT, COSS, LTM, Small Tools, Patrolling
• Required to complete a Track Patrolling Course
Responsibilities will include:
- Report to the TES Depot manager
- Inspect & report on the condition of the track with the location you are patrolling
- You will be responsible for all reports on the day of the patrol /inspection which will need to sign & date with defects found and defects rectified
- Escalate defects that are of a serious nature in the first instance to the Depot Manager. If concerned, protect the Road in question from any traffic movement until examined by a Senior Member of the Projects Department.
The position will require travelling within the area so a full UK driving licence is essential.
