About The Role
TES are currently looking for an Planner on a Temporary Contract/Secondment until 30 June 2022 within our Possession Management Offices at Watford.
This position is predominately covering shifts Monday - Friday 7.00am - 3.30pm, based at Watford.
About You
Candidates are required to have in depth knowledge of, good geographical knowledge of the area, excellent communication skills and be IT literate.
The following competencies are also essential:
SSOWP (Desirable)
S/PICOP, COSS/IWA, PS (desirable)
In depth knowledge of railway standards
In depth knowledge of possession and Line Block requirements
Geographical knowledge
IT Skills
Responsibilities will include:
Plan the work in accordance with the priorities set by the Responsible Manager and the appendix A hierarchy of safe systems of work defined in NR/L2/OHS/019.
Create safe systems of work packs.
Make sure all safe system of work packs are authorised by a Responsible Manager and verified by a Person in Charge
Send out Safe system of work packs.
Re-plan any safe system of work packs that have been rejected.
Log the acceptance of verified safe system of work packs.
Archive completed safe system of work packs
Assist with resource planning.
Attend planning meetings and briefings as required.
Assist with Pre-possession planning, Planning of Line Blocks and Safe Systems of work in line with the Hierarchy, e.g. paperwork, phone calls etc.
Carry out duties in line with competencies held.
Complete site visits to gain geographical knowledge on areas that are not familiar.
The position will require travelling within the area so a full UK driving licence is essential.
