About The Role


TES are currently looking for an experienced PICOP within our Anglia Department.

We are offering the ideal candidate a fantastic opportunity for work within the rail industry. This position is safety critical and therefore subject to drug and alcohol testing and a pre-employment medical.

Shifts will be a variation of Days and Nights over Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
Appropriate notice will be given for required cover.

On offer is an hourly rate of £19.00 (Midweek) £21.00 (Weekends). This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well - established company and work with an extremely dedicated team of rail professionals.

About You

Candidates are required to have in depth knowledge, good geographical knowledge of the area, excellent communication skills and be IT literate.

The following competencies are also essential:
  • (S)PICOP
  • COSS/IWA
  • PTS
  • PS
  • SSOWP

Responsibilities will include:
 
  • Assist SPICOP with pre-possession planning
  • Attend and assist with pre-possession checks, briefings etc
  • Assist the SPICOP to manage possession paperwork, phone calls etc..
  • Attend and/or minute SPICOP briefings
  • Monitor blocking points and place boards and detonators required to take the possession
  • Carry out regular checks of the protection measures
  • Attend worksites at the request of the SPICOP to monitor progress
  • Carry out SPICOP and PSS duties as required
  • Brief PSS on duties as required, ensuring full understanding of the possession requirements
  • Comply with all relevant legislation and railway rules including safety critical communications
  • Carry out additional duties deemed to be within the position capability as directed by management. 

The position will require travelling within the area so a full UK driving licence is essential.
