About The Role

TES are currently looking for 2 Nominated Persons in the West Midlands and Chilterns area on a fixed term contract for 3 - 6 months.

We are offering the ideal candidate a fantastic opportunity for work within the rail industry. This position is safety critical and therefore subject to drug and alcohol testing and a pre-employment medical if required.

This role will be 35 hours per week, with a vehicle provided. As part of this role, you will be required to travel to meet the demands of the project. 
 
Key Responsibilities include:
  • To carry out AC and/or DC Nominated Person duties
  • To attend site meetings as required and collate paperwork
  • To organise staff members under their control
  • To give method statement briefings
  • To work under the direction of the Electrical Control Room
  • To test and apply/remove earths to the overhead Line
  • Issue and cancel permits to work in line with the appropriate regulations
  • Collate and complete all relevant documentation
  • To work in compliance with all safety rules and regulations and ensure that all staff under their command comply with the same
  • Contribute to the compilation of risk assessments as required
  • Ensure relevant staff under their control are fit for duty and are in possession of the correct PPE, equipment and competences to carry out their duties

About You

You are required to have good geographical knowledge of the area, excellent communication skills and be IT literate.

The position will require travelling within the area so a full UK driving licence is essential.

Ideally you should have the following knowledge and experience:
 
PTS AC/DCCR
First Aid for electrical accidents
First Aid for electrical burns
NP OLE/AC – I
NP OLE/AT – I
COSS OLP/CRP LL
OLEC 1
Knowledge of Network Rail rules and regulations
Good communication 
Attention to detail
Teamwork
