About The Opportunity

TES 2000 are looking for a Section Planner on a 3 month rolling Fixed Term Contract based in South Essex.
 

We are looking for an experienced and meticulous Section Planner to support our ongoing projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised individual to make a significant impact within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Section Planner, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth progression of our projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, maintaining, and monitoring detailed project plans and schedules for specific sections of work.

  • Collaborating closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and up-to-date planning information.

  • Identifying potential risks, clashes, and dependencies, and proactively developing mitigation strategies.

  • Tracking progress against baselines, analysing variances, and preparing regular progress reports.

  • Resource levelling and allocation to optimise efficiency.

  • Assisting in the preparation of look-ahead programmes and short-term plans.

  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies.

  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the planning function.

About You

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Section Planner or similar role within the [e.g., railway, construction, engineering] sector.

  • Proficiency in planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).

  • Strong understanding of project lifecycle and planning methodologies.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities effectively.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with all levels of personnel.

  • A proactive and adaptable approach to work.
