We are looking for motivated and safety-focused individuals to join us in the Leeds, York, Hull, Wakefield, and surrounding areas.

About You

About You: The Future Rail Professional

We are looking for candidates who are committed to safety and ready for a challenging but rewarding environment.

  • Location: Ideally based in and around Leeds, York, Hull, Wakefield, and surrounding areas.

  • ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENT â€“ You must hold a valid driving license and have reliable access to a vehicle, as the nature of this work requires travel to sites outside of public transport hours (nights and weekends).

  • Commitment: Must be available to attend all specified training dates from Monday 26th January 2026 to Friday 6th February 2026 and be committed to a rail career, understanding that the training period is unpaid.

  • Availability: Must be available for shifts predominantly covering nights during the weekend, but also requiring day, night, weekend, and bank holiday availability once qualified.

  • Be willing and able to successfully undergo a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol testing.

Your Future Role: Possession Support Staff

Upon qualification, you will be instrumental in ensuring the continued safety of all staff across the rail infrastructure, working primarily on night and weekend shifts.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Possessions Management team in managing the rail line possession.

  • Attending briefings and acting as a critical safety check.

  • Monitoring blocking points and deploying safety protection (boards and detonators) as required by Network Rail guidelines.

  • Supporting on-site walkouts (pre-work) and investigating all safety concerns.

  • Communicating clearly and precisely with the (S)PICOP regarding all protection procedures.
