Become a Multi-Skilled COSS with TES in Sussex!

Are you an experienced COSS looking for your next challenge? TES, a leading name in rail safety, has an exciting opportunity for dedicated professionals to join our Possession Management Department in the Sussex area.

As a Multi-Skilled COSS, you'll be instrumental in ensuring safety on the 3rd rail network, following Safe System of Work (SSOW) plans and working closely with PICOPs. This is a 0-hour contract offering flexibility across midweek, weekends, and nights, perfect for those seeking to balance their work with their lifestyle. We're ideally looking for candidates based in and around Crawley, South London, Brighton, Croydon, and Orpington.

Essential Requirement: PS Ticket Training on August 22nd

To hit the ground running, a Possession Support (PS) ticket is a mandatory requirement for this role. We're holding dedicated PS ticket training in Sussex on August 22nd, and your availability on this date is essential.

About You

The ideal COSS will: Hold a minimum of PTS AC/DCCR, COSS,
Currently hold or be willing to work toward PS, and Strapping and Switching competencies plus Emergency First Aid with Electrical Burns Be able to follow safety standards set out by Network Rail Ability to work well within a small team and use own initiative Be a driver
 
The Multi-Skilled COSS typical shift will include: Leading safety critical duties with the Possession Support Assistant to ensure safe working practices whilst undertaking possession limit duties on 3rd rail Placing marker boards, detonators at the Possession limits/Blocking points Undertake strapping and switching duties in line with competencies held to isolate the traction supply Maintain accurate records and documentation related to possession activities Assist the PICOP or ES in conjunction with train movements Follow Safe Work Plans
