About The Opportunity

TES 2000 are currently looking for Nominated Person within Electrification in the Anglia region.

As part of this role, you will be required to oversee AC and DC isolation staff and deliver isolations work as a Nominated Person. You will support the planning of walkouts, review the documentation and supporting and mentoring staff to ensure they are familiar and comfortable with the planned duties.

You will be instrumental in ensuring the continued safety of all TES 2000 staff and subsequent contracted staff.

About You

You are required to have good geographical knowledge of the area, excellent communication skills and be IT literate.
The position will require travelling within the area so a full UK driving licence is essential with your own transport.

The Ideal Nominated Person will have:

The following competencies

PTS AC/DCCR
COSS OLP/CRP LLT
NP OLE/AC – I
NP OLE/AT – I
OLEC 1
First aid with electrical burns
Good Communication

Typical Nominated Person Duties:

To carry out AC and/or DC Nominated Person duties
To attend site meetings as required and collate paperwork
To organise staff members under their control
To give method statement briefings
To work under the direction of the Electrical Control Room
To test and apply/remove earths to the overhead Line
Issue and cancel permits to work in line with the appropriate regulations
Collate and complete all relevant documentation
To work in compliance with all safety rules and regulations and ensure that all staff under their command comply with the same
Contribute to the compilation of risk assessments as required
Ensure relevant staff under their control are fit for duty and are in possession of the correct PPE, equipment and competences to carry out their duties.
